The first man to surpass the famous two-hour hurdle in the marathon is Kenya’s Simon Sawe, who is now the first to do so.

In a historic sporting event, Sawe won the London Marathon in one minute, 59 moments, and 30 minute on Sunday, breaking the men’s world history by 65 seconds.

Yomif Kejelcha, an Ethiopian who finished in second place, even managed less time by running the marathon in 1: 59:41, breaking Jacob Kiplimo’s previous world record of seven seconds, set by Kenya’s Kelvin Kiptum in Chicago in 2023.

The 29-year-old Sawe thanked the ferventurers who lined the streets of the European capital to praise him on. He still managed to retain his subject in London.

What comes now is not just for me alone, Sawe said, but it is also for everyone in London right now.

Sawe completed the second half of the marathon in 59 minutes, one minute, beating Kejelcha after 30 kilometers, before taking a single break in the closing two kilometers as he raced along the Mall.

Assefa wins the fastest women’s workout previously in women’s only.

Ethiopia’s Tigst Assefa won the women’s race in 2:15 :41, breaking the previous record for a women’s only marathon, with Ethiopia’s Tigst Assefa pulling away with about 500 meters to win.

Nevertheless, it was 16 hours slower than Paula Radcliffe’s program report for a mixed culture in 2003.

European twice in chair races

In the wheelchair races, Catherine Debrunner defeated Tatyana McFadden in a near finish to defend the title, while Marcel Hug won the second immediately men’s title, and Marcel Hug won the eighth overall.
