Stacey West has announced her resignation as Netball Australia’s chief executive officer with the lockdown of a ground-breaking spread package.
West claims that the place has been a “labour of like” despite spending more than two decades in the position and 16 times with the governing body.
West took over the best position from Kelly Ryan, who resigned following a contentious pay dispute with people, and she has since made an appearance in the game by signing a five-year spread privileges deal with the Nine Network, which will run until 2027.
Under the terms of the agreement, free-to-air broadcast did broadcast at least two Super Netball games per week.
West may take over as Netball World Cup Sydney 2027’s CEO, Mark Falvo, in the time.
West remarked,” This part has been a labor of love for me.”
My longtime career has been my responsibility to the activity, our people, and our athletes, and it has been a privilege to have the opportunity to add to our development and success. “
With tennis in a strong place, West said she felt the right time to leave.
She said,” I hand over the reins at the start of a new era with the game poised for ongoing achievement.”
Our new long-term free-to-air spread agreement defies business trends and is built on the fantastic product and the people who make up this game.” Super Netball continues to set group, crowd, and membership records.
The love and respect for both the high performance and contribution aspects of our activity, which is the core of our culture and position of authority, continue to be the sport of choice for both women and girls. “
