The International Basketball Federation has announced that Japan will host the children’s sports World Cup in 2030 and France will host the men’s tournament in 2031.
The men’s World Cup will become contested between Lille, Lyon, and Paris from August 29 to September 14, 2031, while the women’s competitors will take place in Tokyo from November 26 to December 8, 2030.
Tokyo hosting the 2020 Games delayed by the COVID-19 crisis, and Paris hosting the Olympics in 2024, both hosted the latest summer Olympic Games. At those activities, Japan’s women and France’s men both won gold medals on house dirt.
