A West Coast super fan has taken his love for star Harley Reid to a new level, putting his body on the line when it comes to the young superstar.
A young man named Cooper has caught the attention of social media after he got Reid’s signature tattooed on his lower leg in what is his first bit of ink.
In a social media post by Perth tattoo studio Capone Ink, Cooper is seen getting Reid to sign his leg at an open training session before he heads to the studio to make it permanent.
“Core memory = getting @westcoasteagles @harleyreid_6’s signature as your very first tattoo,” the social post said.
“Talk about a true fan! We’re stoked to be a part of it.”
And it appears the 21-year-old approves of the move, with one photo showing the young Eagle on facetime getting a look at his handy work.
He also commented on the post with a series of fire emojis.
His teammates including Willem Duursma also liked the post.
Reid has become one of the most popular footballers in the AFL and most recognisable athletes in the state since he joined the Eagles’ with the first pick in the 2023 draft.
Capone Ink is popular among AFL footballers with Reid as well as teammate Tyler Brockman and West Coast premiership player Liam Ryan all getting inked there.
Several Melbourne players including Max Gawn and now Fremantle star Luke Jackson also got tattoos there after their premiership victory against the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium in 2021.
