The majority of Mai Soliman’s professional boxing matches were fought at Revesby Workers ‘ Club, which contrasts starkly with the Egyptian-born Australian’s future World Title combat, the Temples of Giza.
On the first card possibly staged at the iconic place, only a half-hour’s travel from where she was born in Cairo, Soliman will face Japan’s Mizuki Hiruta for her WBO and The Ring super-flyweight names. The beautiful setting will host the” Glory in Giza” battle day on May 23 when Ukrainian heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk defends his WBC pulley against Rico Verhoeven.
Soliman will compete in her 12th professional battle, which is as dissimilar from Revesby Workers ‘ Club as one could have imagined, aside from the Queen of the Egyptian poker machines.
” I’m fighting in front of one of the seven wonders of the world, it’s never been done before,” Soliman said.
” They talk about the UFC White House battle, but I believe this is the best.”
When people ask,” What’s your dream location to fight at?” they refer to the T-Mobile Arena as Madison Square Garden, fighting in Vegas, and the T-Mobile Arena. This is where I’m at the top.
It is actually a dream come true for Soliman. The Sydney-based warrior manifested at the end of 2022 at this time after only two expert fights.
She said,” I had a dream that involved a battle in front of the pyramids,” and it all began. It sounded but true, really. I simply felt like I wanted that desire to come true after it was a dream.
It came into being after two significant events late last month. Her first victory came against John Wayne Parr’s girl Jasmine, who is also a member of mixed martial arts story. After six rounds, Soliman discovered something to halt the momentum and won a magnificent TKO in the sixth round.
She said,” I just really wanted it actually bad.”
She then caught the attention of businessman Saudi producer Turki Alalshikh, the person who finances the” Girl in Giza” event, on a boxing podcast.
She said,” I spoke about how Turki has altered the fighting activity.
He noticed that, and he shared the radio with everyone who called and inquired,” Did you see that?”
” At the end of this audio picture, I mentioned, only speaking in public, how great would it be for me to fight in front of the pyramid.
Turki hadn’t even made his journey to Egypt, and the combat card wasn’t actually on.
” I’m not upset; perhaps he took the idea and made it happen, but I can’t say.” If something, he’s the guy who kind of makes that happen and may go above and beyond to make it really good.
A wrestler who fell in love with the sport after watching Million Dollar Baby and didn’t tell her parents when she first went to a boxing treadmill at the age of 17 may permanently change her job.
This is every quarterback’s dream, she said,” It’s big, this is every quarterback’s dream.”
