The US Consulate General Office in Mumbai has received a threatening mail, following which the police registered a case against an unknown person.
According to the information received by Bandra Kurla police, the mail was received from the address — rkgtrading777@gamil.com — at 3:50 am on February 9 (Friday).
In the mail, the person claimed he was a fugitive US citizen and threatened to blow up all US Consulates and kill American citizens working there.

The police said the case was registered under sections 505(1)(b) and 506(2) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and started further investigation.
