Tish Cyrus has admitted there are “definitely issues” in her marriage to Dominic Purcell.
The 56-year-old former wife of Miley Cyrus’ musician dad Billy Ray Cyrus, 62, got hitched to Dominic in 2003 after three years with the ‘Prison Break’ actor, and has now confessed they suffer a major personality clash.
She said on her daughter Brandi Cyrus’ ‘Sorry We’re Stoned’ podcast: “I was so scared when I first met Dom, my husband.
“I am a Taurus and he is an Aquarius, and every single thing I read said, ‘Don’t even do it. It is the absolute worst pairing.’”
Opening up about how she is “easily offended” and takes things “so personally” – while Dominic is “blunt” and “not emotional” – she added: “And that could be a problem. But you know what, this is where I’ve grown, is like, I just feel like instead now of me getting so offended, because I respect and love him, that we have conversations.
“And instead (of) getting so upset and heated about it, and me not taking it personally, just letting him have an opinion. I’ve never been good at that.
“These are definitely issues. But issues also, because I love him, that I’m dealing with.”
Dominic is best known for his portrayal of Lincoln Burrows in Fox’s ‘Prison Break’, and started dating Tish in 2020 – but only took their romance public in November 2022.
They got engaged in April 2023 before they got hitched in August that year.
Their relationship was recently in the spotlight due to a string of reports Tish and Dominic got together shortly after he got together with Tish’s youngest daughter, Noah.
A source told People: “Noah and Dominic were seeing each other in a friends-with-benefits way, off and on.
“They stopped seeing each other and then Tish started something up.
“The turmoil between Noah and Tish goes far beyond (what people think.)”
An insider added to Us Weekly: “Noah is very distraught over Tish stealing Dominic from her.”
Noah, 24, sparked rumours of a feud between her and Tish when she and her older brother Braison skipped their mum’s wedding to Dominic to go to Walmart.
