A dust storm followed by thunderstorms and rain swept across several parts of the National Capital Region on Tuesday night, bringing strong winds and sudden weather changes to Delhi and adjoining areas.
The sudden spell of rough weather affected multiple parts of New Delhi and nearby NCR regions, with strong gusty winds reducing visibility at several places before rain lashed parts of the city.

Earlier in the day, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) had issued a yellow alert for multiple districts of Delhi, warning of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds over the next few hours.
According to the weather department, wind speeds were expected to reach 30-40 kilometres per hour during thunderstorms, with gusts touching up to 60 kilometres per hour at isolated places.
The weather department had also warned residents about possible disruptions due to strong winds and lightning activity.
The change in weather brought temporary relief from the prevailing heat in parts of Delhi-NCR.
