In a blow to single women across the city, “Perth’s hottest bachelor” Adam Justice may have just found love with suitor Jess after the Triple M-matched pair announced they’re planning a second date.
Perth breakfast hosts Xav and Katie received hundreds of offers from local ladies putting their name forward to date mortgage broker Adam for their Match Me If You Can segment.
Yet it was 24-year-old Jess who stood out among three shortlisted singles to date him — with Adam’s preference matching that of the radio presenters.
The two went on their first date on Monday night, and appeared in Triple M Perth’s studio on Wednesday morning to declare their intentions.
In a MAFS-style reveal, the hopeful singles each said they wanted to “stay” and continue their romantic journey.
The bachelor recounted the pair’s outing on Tuesday in a pre-recorded interview, recounting their night of darts at Flight Club and the emotions that underscored it.
“It was pretty natural, surprisingly, the build up to the night and that sort of stuff, the conversations were flowing,” Adam said.
“There was good eye contact, good body language — all the green ticks you could ask for.”
Playing it coy, Adam hinted there “may have” been some hand holding, and that the pair even locked lips.
After a Yo-Chi palate cleanser, and discovering Jess is lactose intolerant, Adam said he dropped her home and waited for her to walk through the door.
The radio hosts then spoke to Jess separately to get her version of events, with the local area coordinator saying it “was such a good date, we had a good time”.
Gifted a rose by Adam, she felt the romantic gesture may have been a set up, but quickly realised it was his own initiative.
Suggesting the pair went “straight onto the beers upon arrival”, Jess praised Adam’s “good energy” and felt any nerves were quickly settled.
She labelled the initiation of hand-holding as “mutual”, and preferred not to spill on the intensity of their kiss — or even whether it occurred.
The pair’s second date will take place on Friday.
