World No. Cameron Norrie defeated by 1 Jannik Sinner 6-2 7-5 to advance to the Madrid Open quarter-finals, extending his ATP Masters 1000 winning streak to 25 games as the people fought back from the worst of the temperature.

Sinner may next face either Bohemian C Kopriva or 19-year-old wild card and local Rafa Jodar, both of whom are native of Madrid.
