The NEET UG 2026 re-examination has been officially scheduled for 21 June 2026, as confirmed by the National Testing Agency (NTA) following the cancellation of the earlier exam held on 3 May 2026.

The decision comes after allegations of paper leaks and irregularities, which led to a nationwide investigation and administrative review of the exam process.

According to official updates from NTA and media reports, the earlier NEET UG 2026 examination was cancelled to ensure fairness and restore credibility in the medical entrance test system.

The re-exam will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode across multiple centres in India and abroad, similar to previous years’ arrangements.

More than 22.79 lakh candidates who were registered for the original exam will be eligible to appear for the re-test. The NTA has clarified that no fresh registration is required, and existing application forms remain valid.

Fresh admit cards, exam city slips, and detailed guidelines will be issued ahead of the exam date.

The NEET UG 2026 exam will retain the same syllabus, pattern, and marking scheme, ensuring no academic disadvantage to students. However, counselling schedules and result declarations are expected to be delayed due to the revised timeline.

Students are advised to rely only on official updates from the NTA website and avoid misinformation circulating on social media.
