Kendall Jenner is reportedly taking a cautious approach to a developing relationship with Jacob Elordi – with sources saying their shared history made her hesitant at first about taking things further.
Model Kendall, 30, and actor Jacob, 28, have known each other for years and move within the same social circles, long before the recent speculation about a romance between the pair started.
According to a source speaking to Page Six, the pair have been spending time together privately for several months following a shift in their dynamic.
The insider said their connection developed gradually after years of friendship, with both attending the same events, including Kendall’s birthday celebration in 2022.
They added: “They’ve known each other forever and run in the same circles.
“They’ve actually been spending time together for a couple months now, just keeping it quiet.
“They’ve just been hanging out more and seeing where it goes.”
The source added Kendall has been measured in how she approaches the situation, saying: “Kendall’s really private so she’s taking it slow.
“She’s not the type to jump into something especially with someone she’s been friends with.”
But according to the insider, Kendall’s initial hesitation has begun to ease.
They said: “She’s more open to it now.
“(They’re) keeping it pretty casual for now but there’s interest there.”
The source continued: “It didn’t just happen overnight. They’ve been spending more time together lately and it just kind of happened.
“It’s easy between them. There’s no pressure and they’re just seeing what happens.”
Kendall’s sister Kylie Jenner is said to be supportive of the pairing.
The insider said: “Kylie’s been around it and is supportive.
“She knows Jacob too and thinks they’re a good match.”
Representatives for both Kendall and Jacob did not respond to requests for comment, according to Page Six.
The pair were first linked after a report claimed they were seen “making out” at an after-party during Coachella 2026 hosted by Justin Bieber.
Further reports have suggested they had been dating for around two months, with Kylie playing a role in bringing them together.
Kendall has previously been linked to Devin Booker, Bad Bunny and Harry Styles, while Jacob’s past relationships include Olivia Jade and Kaia Gerber.
