To ease student stress and ensure every grievance is heard, CBSE has also activated multiple post-result support facilities, including verification of marks, access to answer sheets, re-evaluation options, and tele-counselling services.
WHAT DID CBSE SAY ABOUT THE ON-SCREEN MARKING (OSM) SYSTEM?
CBSE clarified that the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system was implemented to maintain uniformity and consistency in the evaluation process across subjects and regions. The board stated that all answer sheets were assessed strictly according to the official marking scheme prepared by experienced subject experts.
In its official communication, CBSE also mentioned that evaluators were instructed to consider alternative correct methods and approaches adopted by students while checking answer scripts. This was done to ensure that students using different answering styles were not unfairly penalised.
The board emphasised that every effort was made to minimise errors and maintain transparency during the assessment process.
As highlighted in CBSE’s official post, the board urged students not to panic and to make use of the available grievance redressal and counselling facilities if they feel dissatisfied with their scores.
WHAT FACILITIES ARE AVAILABLE FOR CBSE CLASS 12 STUDENTS AFTER RESULTS?
Students who are unhappy with their marks or suspect discrepancies in evaluation can avail themselves of the following post-result services offered by CBSE:
- Verification of marks
- Access to evaluated answer books
- Re-evaluation of specific answers
These facilities are aimed at providing students with a transparent mechanism to review their results and address genuine concerns.
HOW CAN STUDENTS APPLY FOR VERIFICATION OR RE-EVALUATION?
CBSE is expected to release the detailed schedule and application process for verification of marks and re-evaluation shortly on its official website.
Students are advised to regularly check the CBSE Official Website for the latest notifications, deadlines, and application guidelines related to post-result services.
WHAT IS THE CBSE TELE-COUNSELLING HELPLINE NUMBER?
To help students cope with stress, confusion, and post-result anxiety, CBSE has also activated its tele-counselling support system.
Students can contact the CBSE counselling helpline at 1800-11-8004
The board has encouraged students to seek emotional and academic guidance whenever needed and reminded candidates that support is available throughout the post-result period.
Apart from the helpline service, students can also reach out to CBSE through its official communication channels for result-related grievances and clarification requests.
CBSE reiterated that every concern raised by students deserves attention and assured candidates that they are not alone during this crucial phase.
WHY IS CBSE’S RESPONSE IMPORTANT FOR STUDENTS?
With increasing pressure surrounding board exam results, CBSE’s latest clarification and support measures aim to restore confidence among students and parents.
By offering transparent review mechanisms and counselling support, the board is attempting to ensure that students feel heard, supported, and informed during the result evaluation process.
For lakhs of Class 12 students across India, these initiatives could provide much-needed reassurance at a time when academic stress often peaks after result announcements.
