BTS member Jeon Jung Kook issued an apology to fans following a brief technical disruption during the group’s Arirang World Tour stop in Tampa, Florida.

The incident occurred during BTS’ concert in Tampa on April 26 (IST), part of the group’s ongoing international tour marking their return to the stage after completing mandatory military service. During the performance of the song Magic Shop, a temporary audio issue affected the stage output, leading to a brief disruption with members reportedly singing off tune.

A technical glitch with mic and sound seemed to have affected the output of the performance, and while BTS managed to salvage the situation, the mixed reactions by online users using this opportunity to spew hate on the members were instantly recognised by fans – ARMY – who came to their defence.

In the meantime, despite the glitch being resolved quickly and the concert proceeding without further interruptions, Jung Kook addressed the issue shortly after the show. Taking to Instagram, the singer apologised to ARMY, stating that he was dissatisfied with the technical lapse and would ensure better conditions for upcoming performances. He also acknowledged feeling frustrated over the situation during the concert.

Fans present at the venue and those following updates online reacted soon after, with several noting that the disruption was brief and did not significantly impact the overall experience. Many also pointed out that the issue appeared to be technical rather than performance-related.

The Tampa concert marked one of BTS’ first major performances in the United States in recent years and served as a key stop in their Arirang World Tour. The tour, which spans multiple countries, has seen high demand across markets, with tickets selling out rapidly in several cities.

BTS’ management has not issued a separate statement regarding the Tampa incident. The group is scheduled to continue the US leg of the tour with upcoming performances in other major cities.
