Tawhid Hridoy’s unbroken half-century helped Bangladesh to win by six wickets against New Zealand to wrap up their T20 foreign series.
Hridoy shared a 57-run association with Parvez Hossain and another unbroken 49 remain with Shamim Hossain that helped Bangladesh to the victory and finished 51 not out of 27 pellets, including two toes and three innings.
After facing Bangladesh’s top-order batters with 51 each from Dane Cleaver and opening Katene Clarke, New Zealand appeared poised to win, posting a tough 6-182 from their bowlers, which left the guests 3-77 in the 11th over.
However, with 12 balls left, Hridoy’s determined aggression helped Bangladesh achieve 4-183.
With 2-40, leg-spinner Ish Sodhi, the only relic from New Zealand’s new World Cup campaign, led the guests ‘ first charge.
