Actor Aneet Padda is grieving the loss of her grandfather, who passed away recently, and paid tribute to him with a heartfelt note on social media. Remembering him as the “only love of her life,” the Saiyaara actor shared an emotional glimpse into their bond, expressing both love and loss.
Padda posted a touching photo of herself holding her grandfather’s hand on Instagram. “The only love of my life You were drifting away, but you didn’t forget makhan. You held on to love, even when you couldn’t hold on to memory (sic),” she wrote in the caption.

She further added that she would hold on to both their memories and their years together, strive to be a good person, carry his jokes and repeat them at every chance, and keep his kindness and light alive in every dark moment.
The Saiyaara actor mentioned that she would continue to share his stories with the world and hold on to the purest, most unconditional love he had taught her, adding that she would carry him with her always.
“I will carry your stories and tell them to the world. I will carry your love, you taught me the purest, most unconditional kind. I will carry you (sic),” she wrote.
Padda concluded her note by writing, “I spotted the brightest star in the sky today, and I knew where you went. I love you. I love you. I love you, Dadu. I love you so much. Always, beyond what time can hold (sic).”
The actor had earlier opened up about her grandfather’s battle with Alzheimer’s disease, which also made her role in Saiyaara – where she portrayed a patient with the condition – especially close to her heart. She had shared how, despite memory loss, their emotional connection remained strong.
On the work front, Padda is set to appear in Shakti Shalini, produced by Maddock Films. She also has another project lined up with her Saiyaara co-star Ahaan Panday.
