The mother of Katie Price’s ex-husband Alex Reid has passed away.
The 50-year-old former mixed martial artist heartbrokenly missed her passing by” two minutes” after losing her battle with dementia on Thursday ( 23.04.26 ).
Later that evening, Alex revealed his dearly missed mother’s passing in a moving Instagram post.
He documented his relationship with Carol on numerous occasions on Instagram under the headline” Immediately I celebrate the life of the best lady in my life, my mother, who joined my dear father in heaven!”
” I’m completely heartbroken, but I can feel at ease knowing that you are now at peace and never hurt.
” I regret that I missed my mother’s crossing by two days, but I also managed to hold her in my arms, love her, and give her a smile while expressing my love to her.
” Ladies, long survive Carol Reid!” ( sic )”
Fans of Alex rushed to the article’s feedback section to express their deepest sympathies, as one wrote,” I’m so sorry Alex for your loss. You and your mother are so wonderful. People can tell how much passion exists between you two. May she pass away ( sic ).
I’m but sorry for your loss, a second follower typed. Does she sleep peacefully and I firmly believe that she will always be there in nature cheering you on. God’s blessings on you and your family. ( sic )”
And a third disciple wrote,” Bless you, Alex, you’ve been by her side all these times she knew in those two hours she’ll always be in your soul.” like to you from beginning to end.
Alex revealed Carol was battling memory, a chronic problem that results in a decrease in thinking, memory, and reasoning abilities in 2020.
The artist also acknowledged his” sadness” in moving her into a treatment facility to get round-the-clock care.
He wrote on X:” I know how it feels to move my mother into a house with dementia; they’re still here and are thus lost. It’s worse than grief.”
You experience an overwhelming sense of guilt because you can’t help but feel scared because you can often view your mother’s anxiety and desire to return, but I also see how she is adapting and seeing her quality of life improve.
Seven months after their first meeting, Alex and concept Katie Price, 47, tied the knot in Las Vegas in February 2010.
However, they split in January 2011, and their divorce was finalized in March 2012.
Nikki Manashe and Alex therefore started dating, and they have been together ever since.
Following a seven-year IVF war, the couple welcomed child Anastasia into the world in 2021, along with twin lads Phoenix and Hunter in 2023.
