Abbas Araqchi, the foreign minister of Iran, is scheduled to meet with US negotiators in the Muslim capital Islamabad to debate proposals for resuming peace talks, according to sources in the country.

Araqchi’s visit, according to two Pakistani government sources who were aware of the discussions, would be a simple one to discuss Iran’s proposals for talks with the US, which Pakistan would then send to the US as mediator.
