A man is in a critical condition after being bitten by a shark off Geordie Bay at Rottnest Island.
Emergency services were called just before 10am on Saturday to reports of a possible shark attack.
The man is aged in his 30s and has critical injuries, a St John Ambulance spokesperson said.
WA Police said he is being conveyed by boat to shore and where he will be meet by paramedics.
There was a public report made around 10am Saturday of a roughly 5-metre white shark at a nearby beach, the ABC reported.
