Two teenage girls have been charged with assault after an altercation forced the evacuation of a shopping complex on Brisbane’s northside on Friday afternoon.
Queensland police were called to the Great Western Super Centre on Settlement Road in Keperra about 3pm following reports of a disturbance in Woolworths.
Footage of the incident shows items strewn across the store and broken packaging down several aisles.
Shoppers and workers were evacuated from the store and two teenage girls were taken into custody.
Police confirmed on Saturday a 15-year-old Kedron girl has been charged with wilful damage, assault occasioning bodily harm, and two counts of common assault.
A 14-year-old girl from Goodna has been charged with wilful damage, assault occasioning bodily harm, and common assault.
The pair were scheduled to appear in the Brisbane Childrens Court today.
