Man claims it took a little while to figure out why he mistook his$ 40 million Powerball win for just$ 40, 000.

A$ 40 million Powerball winner who mistakenly believed he had won only$ 40, 000 has recalled the life-changing call he didn’t answer.

When an unidentified phone number called the man from Castle Hill in NSW, he was given a call into a sport match featuring his beloved Powerful Sea Eagles.

He said,” I assumed the telephone was strange when it started ringing, so I didn’t respond.”

He had won the lottery, according to a text message from the Lott, but it took a while for the severity of the total to become known.
