On the first day of the following Test, left-arm spinner Taijul Islam claimed 5-60 to set Bangladesh in command of Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe looked to be ahead of Bangladesh for the majority of the morning until Taijul triggered a spectacular collapse that saw the readers lose seven innings for 55 runs. Sean Williams and Nick Welch batted firmly as the visitors dominated the field for the majority of the day.
In Chattogram on Monday, Taijul’s 16th five-for of Test matches helped Zimbabwe to a score of 9-227 at trees.
