After falling to Moana Pasifika in their first match, the Blues, the warriors of Super Rugby Pacific, have dropped out of the knock group.
With a 27-21 victory over the Blue in Auckland on Saturday, Moana have placed themselves in range for a second always championships seat following their access in the opposition in 2022.
On 28 factors, Pasifika are now in fifth place, equal to the Blues.
The couple are in ninth place with a six-point advantage over the NSW Waratahs.

The Blues will have a bye the following weekend, when Moana Pasifika will face the second-placed Chiefs ( 41 points ).
The Blues host the eighth-placed Waratahs ( 22 ) while the Hurricanes wrap up their year against the fifth-placed Hurricanes ( 30 ).
