The Prince of Wales has stated that more “male part models” should be used to discuss and improve understanding of people’s mental health.

Prince William spoke about how he takes a “long day” to fully understand his feelings during a panel discussion about emotional health and suicide prevention in an instance of BBC Radio 1’s Living Hacks.

The duke remarked,” We need more female role models out there talking about it and normalizing it so that it becomes something that all of us can relate to,” adding.

No one person in the world is equipped with everything necessary to handle any situation or psychological condition.

When I may need something novel, I like to go around looking for new equipment to put in my tool, and doing so does seem to normalize the notion that the brain only needs a little help at times.

It’s acceptable to reach out, request a mate, or ask for support.

He also discussed his own emotional wellbeing and the importance of learning to love who you are as well as taking the time to understand how you feel throughout the hour-long season.

He said,” I take a long time to understand my thoughts and why I feel like I do it.”

And I believe that’s a really significant process to follow every now and then to check in with yourself and discover why you feel the way you do. Sometimes there is an apparent reason, but occasionally there isn’t.

” Doubtless the idea of death gets kept away because you know tomorrow you might wake up and feel very different,” says one person who spoke to the conversation.

William also recalled a time when he observed that his mental health was “deteriorating” after working as a captain for the air ambulance services between March 2015 and July 2017. He also recalled the importance of taking inventory of how you are feeling.

He said,” If you pay attention to your body and have some time to process your thoughts and feelings, it will come to you.”

” It’s really important you have those times where you take stock,” he said.

It wasn’t until I stepped away from it on a sort of longer break that I looked at myself and said,” My god, I’m carrying everyone’s emotional baggage.”

” I was definitely depressed by it.”

The Prince of Wales continued to stress out how the demands on people can be due to the nature of emergency services work.

He said,” It’s not until you step away from it, either that you retire or you take a break, which many of them don’t get long enough breaks,” how are you able to process the kind of attritional, mental, and emotional experiences you’re having each time?

The prince claimed that although it occasionally came at a price, he was “quite physically available.”

It helps me set my own life into view, but often I carry someone else’s problem, which he said makes it difficult for me because I often feel other person’s problems and that overwhelms me.

You want to repair it, but some of the things can’t always be fixed, and that physically challenging is what you have to go through.
