In his eight-minute-long conversation with the publication, the US President also expressed his dissatisfaction with the possibility of Mojtaba Khamenei succeeding his deceased father as the next Supreme Leader in the upcoming time. The US President called it “Unacceptable” and mentioned Mojtaba as a “lightweight” in terms of leading Iran in the future.
“They are wasting their time. Khamenei’s son is a lightweight. I have to be involved in the appointment, like with Delcy [Rodriguez] in Venezuela,” Trump told Axios, when he was asked about Khamenei’s son.
