Dhurandhar: The Revenge director Aditya Dhar on Tuesday responded to cricketer Virat Kohli and actor Anushka Sharma’s positive reviews of the film. Sharing separate posts on his Instagram Stories, Dhar said their words of praise meant a lot to him.
Expressing that he has loved and followed Kohli since his Under-19 cricket days, Dhar said it was a huge moment for him to receive such encouraging appreciation for his work. He also referred to the cricketer as a “once-in-a-generation legend.”

Dhar promised Kohli that he would continue to make India proud with his filmmaking. He wrote, “Wooowww! Can’t believe this is happening Virat, this genuinely means so much. Been a fan since your under 19WC days. Watching a once-in-a-generation legend show love like this just hits different. The way you carry the country every time you step out inspires us, in our small way, we’ll always try to make India proud with our films. Jai Hind (sic).”
Acknowledging Sharma’s review of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, Dhar shared a note calling her an “exceptional talent.” He said the actor’s praise motivates him to continue working with honesty and heart.
“This is truly overwhelming coming from such an exceptional talent like you. Thank you so much, Anushka. It only pushes us to aim higher, to tell stories with honesty, heart and purpose and to keep striving to create something that truly moves people (sic),” he wrote.

Both Kohli and Sharma recently watched Dhurandhar: The Revenge and joined a growing list of celebrities praising the film. The couple shared detailed notes on social media, applauding the entire team, particularly Ranveer Singh’s performance as Hamza Ali Mazari and Rakesh Bedi as Jameel Jamali.
They described the film as immensely engaging and called Dhar a “fiercely original and assured filmmaker.” Sharma, who has worked with Singh in his debut film, Band Baaja Baarat (2010), and Ladies vs Ricky Bahl (2011), praised him for how he “seized a once-in-a-lifetime character.”

Dhurandhar: The Revenge has redefined Indian cinematic grammar and emerged as the highest-grossing Hindi film worldwide. After 19 days in theatres, it has grossed Rs 1,622.72 crore globally, including Rs 1,225.72 crore domestically.
The film is written, produced, and directed by Aditya Dhar. It stars Ranveer Singh in the lead, alongside Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, Danish Pandor, and Sara Arjun in key roles.
