Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be up for revenge as they take on Mumbai Indians (MI) in Match 41 of the Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025) on Wednesday, April 23 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. The Pat Cummins-led side were recently outclassed by the five-time champions away from home as they lost by four wickets.
SRH have failed to live up to the expectations this season, having won just two matches out of seven so far. They’re teetering at the second-last (ninth) position on the points table with just four points from seven matches. The over-reliance on their famed opening duo of Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head has exposed large gaping holes in their batting order.

The bowling has also looked completely out of sorts, with veteran pacer Mohammed Shami failing to live up to the expectations. Harshal Patel and Eshan Malinga have been the only positives for SRH on the bowling front, and they will once again rely on them heavily in the upcoming fixture. On the other hand, Mumbai Indians have finally injected life back into their campaign after a sluggish start.
MI began the season in their usual fashion, having won just one match out of five. The Hardik Pandya-led side had a special affair with number 12 as it turned out to be their losing margin against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) as they lost both matches by 12 runs each.
However, the same number became the reason for their comeback in the season as they registered a miraculous 12-run win over Delhi Capitals (DC). Furthermore, clinical victories over SRH and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has helped MI build a winning momentum which could prove to be disastrous for the rest of the teams. The five-time champions will be eager to once again sweep aside SRH in the upcoming fixture and climb higher on the points table.
