With the announcement that important switch May Skelton has a suspected damaged Ankle in France, which threatens to sever him from the 2026 Test period, the Bird have been dealt a brutal blow.
The original La Rochelle commander injured himself in a French Major 14 match against Bayonne over the weekend, and he announced to his fans on social media on Wednesday that his German period is over.
The 33-year-old legend had to limp off in the first quarter after just his second start since a calf injuries had forced him to miss two months as of early January.

Given the work he’s put in, he’s a person like him, who has a calf injury, it’s difficult to recover.

Skelton, Australia’s captain at the 2023 Rugby World Cup, has had no chance, having even been ruled out of two Test matches against France and Ireland in the Wallabies ‘ spring trip last November due to an ankle injury.
