While Rose Byrne and Jacob Elordi are family names leading the Aussie Oscars, Australia’s best chance of winning a silver statue may lie in a hidden-decor area.

Horror-musical Sinners has received a report 16 votes, including Guido Wolter’s for best visible results.

Although he was born in Germany, he has made his mark on the silver screen with Rising Sun Pictures in Adelaide. He is considered a candidate even though Avatar: Fire and Ash has tight competition from him.

The 98th Academy Awards may be held on the red carpet in Perth on Monday as the moon rises, but the group has already broken out in Hollywood.

Nicole Kidman was one of the attendees at Chanel’s standard pre-Oscars gathering on Sunday at the renowned Beverly Hills Hotel.

She’ll get presenting an honor, as did Rose Byrne, who was also nominated and was a first choice for the role in the comedy-drama If I Had Legs I’d Kick You. She won the Golden Globes for her comedy/musical work, but Jessie Buckley will take home the other big honours Hamnet has won.

For his part as” The Human” in Frankenstein, rising sun Jacob Elordi is nominated for Best Supporting Actor.

Five votes for Australia have been received from production designer Fiona Crombie, who was nominated for Hamnet, and singer Nick Cave, who was nominated for Best Original Song in Train Goals.

In the direct role is One Battle After Another, One Battle For The Best Picture, while Sinners and One Battle For The Best Picture are up against Bugonia, F1, Frankenstein, Hamnet, Marty Supreme, The Secret Agent, Sentimental Value, and Train Goals.

American viewers can watch the action live on Seven Network, with insurance beginning at 6 a.m. EST.
