The murder trial for Russell Brand has been postponed until October.
The Forging Sarah Marshall sun had been scheduled in court on June 16 after being accused of two counts of murder, one count of obscene assault, and two counts of sexual assault in connection with alleged crimes committed against four women between 1999 and 2005, but it has since been postponed due to new charges brought in January, one count of murder and one of sexual abuse against two ladies in 2009, as well.
Brand, who has denied the allegations made against him, will now go on test at Southwark Crown Court for all seven counts starting on October 12 and the case is anticipated to last two decades.
Initial schedules for the prosecution were for up to five days.
The court might run out of time to learn the test if it started in June as planned, according to Sky News ‘ Mr. Justice Bennathan, who would have to wait until the summer holidays to get judges.
When the Metropolitan Police initially charged him with a crime last year, Brand, who is the father of three children with his wife Laura Gallacher, previously made a statement to dispute the claims against him.

The Get Him to the Greek actor’s sexual abuse allegations were first made public in 2023 as part of a mutual investigation led by Dispatches and The Sunday Times news. The artist has consistently refuted any claims of wrongdoing.
