In a story that is winning hearts across Rajasthan, Priyanshi Sunda, a farmer’s daughter from Sikar, has topped the Class 10 board exams with an incredible 599 out of 600 marks (99.83 per cent). She scored full marks in every subject, missing perfection by just one mark in English.

Behind this near-perfect score is a journey of quiet dedication marked by regular study, repeated revision, and a conscious effort to stay away from distractions when it mattered the most.

FOCUSED PREPARATION AND SMART STUDY STRATEGY

A student of Shekhawati School in Losal, Priyanshi credited her success to regular study, effective time management, and strong conceptual clarity. She emphasised that revision played a crucial role in her preparation.

“I focused on revising well before the exams, which helped me a lot. I used mobile phones and watched TV, but reduced screen time significantly before exams. I stayed away from social media and concentrated on studies,” she said.

FAMILY SUPPORT AND SCHOOL GUIDANCE KEY TO SUCCESS

Priyanshi hails from Sangalia village in Sikar. Her father, Sitaram Sunda, is a farmer, while her mother, Sunita Devi, is a homemaker. She attributed her achievement to the constant support of her parents, along with the guidance of her school director BL Ranwa, and teachers.

“Without their support and mentorship, this would not have been possible,” she added.

School director BL Ranwa highlighted that the institution focusses on overall development, balancing academics with sports and extracurricular activities.

SIKAR MAINTAINS STRONG ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE

Sikar district once again showcased strong academic performance, securing a 97.43 per cent pass percentage and ranking third in the state. Last year, Sikar had topped with 97.56 per cent, but this year, Jhunjhunu claimed the top spot with 97.77 per cent, followed closely by Didwana-Kuchaman at 97.59 per cent.

The region continues to be recognised as an education hub, consistently producing top-performing students.

In a first for the Rajasthan Board, the Class 10 results were declared before the Class 12 results and released in March, marking a historic shift in the board’s timeline. The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education also announced the results for Classes 5 and 8 on the same day.

The board is now preparing to begin the new academic session from April 1.

GIRLS OUTPERFORM BOYS

Continuing the trend, girls outshone boys in the Class 10 results. While 66.51 per cent of boys secured first division, the percentage among girls was significantly higher at 74.26 per cent.

In Sikar, the overall pass percentage stood at 97.38 per cent for boys and 97.48 per cent for girls, with girls leading in first division results as well.

TOP DISTRICTS COMPETE CLOSELY FOR RANKINGS

Over the past few years, districts like Sikar, Jhunjhunu, and Nagaur have been competing closely for the top position in Rajasthan Board results. While Nagaur topped in 2022 and Jhunjhunu in 2023 and 2024, Sikar climbed to the top last year before slipping to third position this year.

Didwana-Kuchaman, a relatively new district carved out of Nagaur, secured the second spot this year.

Priyanshi Sunda’s journey from a farmer’s household to becoming the Rajasthan state topper reflects determination, discipline, and the power of focused learning. Her achievement not only brings pride to her family and school but also inspires thousands of students across the state.
