A revitalized Diamonds crew has found its “identity,” according to coach Stacey Marinkovich, in order to become the first American netball team to protect Commonwealth Games gold.
Australia wrapped up a three-game set clear sweep over Jamaica with an 80-33 beating on Wednesday evening at John Cain Arena in their last global before heading to Glasgow.
Marinkovich and her people were comfortable with where they sat, and she and her teammates were aware that this wasn’t the same team because there were five different participants.
The Pearls join South Africa, Malawi, Tonga, and Northern Ireland in Pool A before beginning their name defense against England on July 26.
You don’t understand what it’s going to be like until you’re in it, Marinkovich said.
” Maybe that’s a benefit, because you play the times, you take your trip, you make a schedule, and you just actually stick to it, because that’s what you’ve got to think in.
Then that we understand what it’s like, I believe it’s just reinforcing the idea that when we put a plan together and are all unified and invested in it, we place ourselves well.
Because this is a novel party, we’ve improved the way in which we played and talked about not returning to the degree we once did. Our defense structures were unique, and you even saw the ball moving.
And I think that’s the most exciting thing: this group has found its identity, and it’s now really seeing what it can accomplish up.
Throughout the series, Marinkovic wasn’t afraid to check level and try out various partnerships across the jury.
The coach continued,” It causes problems for me, but they’re really great people.”
Players then travel back to their clubs to officially begin their Super Netball campaign and ensure they have secured their Scottish tickets.

Defensive brave Courtney Bruce remarked,” The best thing about this party is how we train against each other, and the opposition that we have within our party.”
” But we also compete in the world’s best club.” As a result, there is nothing that makes us better suited for playing in ( Super Netball ) when we can’t be together.
” We’ve added cords to our bow, like Stace said,” said the woman. We’ve added fresh defense tools to our arsenals, including items we haven’t even been able to release already.
Before entering this match, Stace said,” How do we need to, I guess, leave this game?” How do we need to show the world what we have to the sleep?
