Pooja Hedge wore a 70-year-old Kanjeevaram saree from her grandmother’s closet.
While Pooja Hegde gears up for her upcoming movies, she often takes to her Instagram to share stunning pictures of herself in Indian handlooms. Recently, she took to her social media to share pictures of herself in a 70 year old Kanjeevaram saree that once belonged to her grandmother. The actor exuded elegance and understated glamour in a striking green saree.
Taking to her Instagram, Pooja Hegde shared a series of retro-themed pictures of herself. The actor posed for the cameras as she sat on a wooden floor surrounded by white jasmine flowers. She wrote, “From the vintage closet, a 70-YEAR-old stunning saree.. It took me back to the images of my beautiful Ajji (grandma) in her kanjivarams going about her day, the fresh smell of mallige in the house before getting ready to go for a wedding, and the aromas of the wet mangalore mud after the first rains…Oh, the beauty in the simplest things. Through the lens of time.. #retro.”

For her latest look, Pooja opted for a vibrant green Kanjeevaram saree. The saree was adorned with golden box stripes all over. A stunning indigo border broke the monotony of the green. The indigo border was also adorned with golden traditional motifs. Pooja paired the saree with a contrast half-sleeved indigo blouse. The contrast between green and indigo made for a striking look.
For the accessories, Pooja opted for a traditional gold necklace and a traditional gold earring. She tied her hair up in a half-updo look and adorned it with a gajra. She also added a stack of green glass bangles to her OOTD. For the glam, she kept it minimalist. She went with a natural-looking base. She added a hint of coral-hued blush to her cheeks for that warm flush of colour. She defined her eyes with kohl and mascara. She added a brown shade to her lips and completed her look with a tiny indigo bindi.
