A massive air and sea search is underway after a boat with four people on board failed to return from a fishing trip on Saturday.
Tasmanian Police say the vessel left the Montagu boat ramp in the state’s northwest at 5.30pm on Saturday for a fishing trip near Robbins Island and the Stony Point area.
But when the vessel did not return, concerned relatives contacted emergency services.
A rescue helicopter and marine rescue vessels have been sent to search the area around Robbins Island.
