Pahalgam terrorist attack latest news updates: The security forces have stepped up the ongoing anti-terror operations across Jammu and Kashmir in the wake of the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam.
On April 27, CDS General Anil Chauhan met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in Delhi to discuss key issues related to the military response to the Pahalgam terror attack.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday renewed his vow to deliver the “toughest” punishment to terrorists and their backers. He also assured the families of the Pahalgam attack victims that “justice will be served.”
During the 121st episode of his radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’, he further said that Jammu and Kashmir witnessed unprecedented growth in recent years, with the surge in tourism and opportunities for the youth, and noted that the Pahalgam attack was a desperate attempt by the enemies of the nation to derail the region’s progress.
Terrorists sprayed bullets on dozens of people in Pahalgam on April 22, killing at least 26— mostly tourists — in the deadliest attack in the Valley since the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019.
