According to the ANSA media company, the Bayesian superyacht that sank off Sicily is scheduled to be raised from the seabed on Wednesday after a pause of several weeks.

Seven people were killed when the 473-tonne vessel sank past August near the small port of Porticello.

The procedure to increase it is very challenging.

It was originally scheduled to begin on Sunday.

The 56-meter yacht went over during a storm, stoking ongoing rumors about the conditions of the crisis, despite being marketed as “unsinkable.”

American technology billionaire Mike Lynch, 59, his 18-year-old child, two family friends, and the boat’s cook were just a few of the patients.

All different members of the crew made it.

One of the largest cruising yachts in the world, the Bayesian, was reportedly valued at tens of millions of dollars, and its 75-metre mast will be on the seabed.

Lawyers hope the recovered evidence may reveal what led to the yacht’s sinking.

The New Zealand commander of the Bayesian and two other members of the crew are being investigated for allegedly disregarding storm warnings and abandoning individuals in the chaos.

Authorities are also looking into whether the Italian manufacturer is at fault for the loss of the vessel.

The Perini Navi factory, which the catamaran was built 17 years ago, has since been bought by the publicly traded Sea Group.

For the rescue procedure, shipping is prohibited from the region around the wreck.
