National Security Advisor Ajit Doval is likely to visit Moscow next week to push for the early delivery of the remaining S-400 air defence systems.
During his Moscow visit, Doval is expected to attend the 13th International Meeting of High Representatives for Security Issues that will take place in Moscow from May 27 to 29, chaired by Russia’s Security Council secretary, Sergey Shoigu. He is likely to make a case for the early delivery of the remaining two S-400 air defence systems.

India purchased the S-400 Triumf air defence system units in 2018 for $5.4 billion (Rs 35,000 crore). Three of the systems have been delivered, and two more are still awaited. The fourth squadron is expected to arrive by the end of 2025 and the fifth squadron is expected in 2016, due to the Russia-Ukraine War and other logistical challenges.
