A wild party in a family friendly neighbourhood ended with 150 teenagers brawling and shouting with police called to restore order.
In the Perth coastal town of Wembley Downs, where the average house costs $1.8 million, the force was called to a party at a home on Hale Rd.
Officers attended the suburban scene after multiple reports of anti-social behaviour around 8.15pm. They found a large group of approximately 150 teenagers, who were “fighting, shouting and refusing to leave the area”.
Some of the group appeared to be intoxicated, officers added.
The crowd was issued orders to disperse, and two boys, both 15, were arrested.
One was charged with one count of assaulting a public officer and was granted bail.
He is set to appear before Perth Childrens Court on Friday.
The other teenager was arrested for disorderly behaviour in public and later released with a formal written warning.
The crowd, eventually dispersed with no serious injuries reported.
