A left-wing activist group has been expelled from this year’s Mardi Gras parade after refusing to remove social media posts against another group.
Tens of thousands are expected to descend on Sydney’s CBD on Saturday night for the 48th annual Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras parade.
But Pride in Protest, a group which has previously marched in the parade, have claimed they were barred from marching by organisers.
In a statement posted to social media, Pride in Protest claims they were told they would be banned unless they deleted posts about Dayenu, another group set to march, for alleged “pro-genocide” views.
