Gold Coast Titans vs Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs
34 SIN BIN: Brian Kelly is off for a professional foul
The Gold Coast Titans are down to 12 men, as centre Brian Kelly is sent to the sin bin.
It started when second-rower Beau Fermor dropped the ball and gave Canterbury a scrum near the goal line.
The Titans were penalised off the scrum for being offside.
The Bulldogs elected to retake the scrum.
Here is a little-known rule. If the defending team is offside again,m they run the risk of being sent to the bin.
Kelly is five metres offside, and he has been marched.
The Titans have just shot themselves in the foot.
31′ TRY: Tino kicks and the Titans score
Gold Coast has produced something terrific from a broken play, and centre Phillip Sami has scored.

The Titans were on attack again, but on the fifth tackle, the ball ended up in the hands of Tino Fa’asuamaleaui. THAT’S NOT GOOD.
But big Tino says “follow me, lads” and produces a chip and chase.
Canterbury fullback Connor Tracey drops the ball, and the ball is in the hands of Titan forward Klese Haas.
Haas gets the ball to Sami, who scores in the corner.

29′ Titans are chancing their arm and playing with confidence
Since the Gold Coast scored their only try, they have been the better side.
The forwards, especially Tino Fa’asuamaleaui and Klese Haas, are asking questions of Canterbury’s middle defenders.
“Much better … They’re getting meterage in the centre of the park,” Billy Moore says on ABC Sport.
The Titans have had a trio of chances at the Bulldogs’ goal line, but are yet to find the right pass or kick to score.
20′ TRY: Titans stun Canterbury with a try
Gold Coast have been given a gift, and they have taken it.
Canterbury was on the attack but the pass, when the Bulldogs had an overlap, hits the deck.

Titan winger Tony Francis picks up the ball and is away.
Connor Tracey, Bulldogs’ fullback, makes the cover tackle.
But the Bulldogs’ defence is in all sorts.
Titans fullback Jaylan De Groot ran at a hole and was desperately cut down.
The Titans go down the short side, and AJ Brimson gives a lovely pop pass to Beau Fermor, who scores.
Great footy by the Titans.
12′ TRY: Bulldogs score their second
The Bulldogs are on song this afternoon, and on evidence, this score could get ugly.
The Bulldogs have been constantly threatening to score in the past five minutes.

On the final play of the set, the Bulldogs elect to run the ball to the Titans’ left edge, which looks shaky.
Second-rower Jacob Preston charged into a gap, was well tackled by Titans five-eighth AJ Brimson, but the perfect offload was played.
Captain Stephen Crichton catches the ball and scores untouched.
Gold Coast lose halfback Tom Weaver
ABC Sport’s sideline eye Zane Bojack has reported that Tom Weaver, Gold Coast’s halfback, will not return after being knocked out in a tackle earlier in the half.

7′ NO TRY: Bulldogs denied by a small touch
It is a disaster for Gold Coast fullback Jaylan De Groot.
A short kick from the Bulldogs bounced, and De Groot made a meal of it.
Trying to pick it up on the run, the Titan fullback drops the ball, and it was picked up by Canterbury’s Reed Mahoney collected the ball and grounded it under the sticks.
But the ref believed there was a touch by Bulldog Max King, prior to Mahoney picking up the ball.
The Titans survive — just.
5′ TRY: Canterbury has the first try
The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs have the first try of the match.
Once Gold Coast’s Tom Weaver was taken from the field, the Bulldogs scored on the next player.

Halfback Toby Sexton put a kick to the right corner, and Bulldogs winger Jacob Kiraz jumped high and caught the ball.
Kiraz was not over the goal line so needed to muscle through defenders to score.
5′ Titans halfback Tom Weaver is concussed
Bad news for Tom Weaver.
The Gold Coast halfback is off after being left motionless, trying to tackle Canterbury’s Viliame Kikau.

ABC Sport’s Billy Moore has a feeling about the Titans today
Could an upset happen today?
The Bulldogs have several players out due to suspension, which makes the Queensland Origin great curious.
“I can smell something … [Canterbury] are a champion team, but not a team of champions,” Moore says.
The Titans have been poor, but did show attacking firepower, for 10 minutes, last week.

Cheering for the upset at Lang Park
Afternoon Michael. How is the weather up there today? Any chance of rain? Hoping for a Titans win and no serious injuries please.

G’day KB.
The Titans may need all of your support.
Coming off four losses, they will need to produce something we have not seen in a month to topple the Bulldogs.
But this year’s NRL season has been unpredictable to date.
Why not have another upset?
ANALYSIS: Hynes finds his peace as wandering NRL eyes turn elsewhere
Nicho Hynes’s professional but unspectacular leadership of the Sharks is the sort of role he’s cut out for, but his early success made us think he was something else.

Titans coming off four-straight losses
After starting the season with two wins and one loss, the Gold Coast Titans have lost four in a row.
Last week may have been the worst of it.
With an 18-6 lead over the North Queensland Cowboys, the Titans conceded 44 unanswered points.
It has led to changes from coach Des Hasler, with David Fifita the most high-profile casualty
