That’s seven for Ben King!
It’s an equal-career high for King as he takes the mark on the lead and nails the drop punt from a slight angle about 45m out.
It’s a 59-point margin for the Gold Coast.

Ben King has his sixth
That’s 15 goals from 17 kicks for King this season.
That’s real efficiency.

Powell gets the Suns underway in the last
It’s a stand 50m penalty against the Tigers from the middle of the ground, and Powell kicks a goal from outside 50m to get the Suns underway in the last.
Another beautiful big bomb!
3QT: Gold Coast 14.9 (93) leads Richmond 8.5 (53)

The Suns extended their halftime lead, but the big news of the day is that Christian Petracca has tweaked his hamstring.
The superstar recruit limped off after kicking the ball away as he got caught in a tackle, the type of mechanism that you often see leading to knee injuries or soft tissue injuries.
The Suns have a bye next week, before what was meant to be the blockbuster return of Petracca to Melbourne in a clash with the Demons at the MCG on April 5.
But you’d have to think there are major doubts he’ll get up for that game.
Meanwhile, the Tigers have lost both Tom Lynch and Toby Nankervis to hamstring injuries in a huge blow to their experienced stocks.

Ben King has five goals
King has kicked the ball five times in this game, and every one of them has been a goal.
It’s a return serve to Sam Lalor who kicked a beauty at the other end, and the Suns have all the answers.
It’s out to 40 points.
Christian Petracca is done for the day
Big news here, as Petracca ices his hamstring on the bench. He is done for the day.
Maybe it’s just a precaution with the Suns in control and a bye on the horizon, but the mechanism in the tackle didn’t look great.
Meanwhile, Toby Nankervis has also joined Tom Lynch on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.
There are hamstrings pinging all over the place here!

Touk Miller kicks one
Miller’s probably been the best on so far and he has a goal after he’s allowed to lead freely for an uncontested mark in the F50.
Real lapse of concentration there from the Richmond defence.
Christian Petracca has gone into the rooms
The superstar recruit has gone down into the sheds with a bit of limp.
He went full stretch on a kick as he was being tackled and it’s that kind of motion that can be really dangerous for muscle tears.
We’ll keep an eye on it.

Another long range belter!
This time it’s Hugo Ralphsmith with a huge launch from outside 50!
This might the best of the lot of them today as he collects the handball on the run and goes massive from about 55m out.
What’s that? Fifth? Sixth goal from outside 50m? Maybe I’m seeing things but it feels like a lot.

Ben Long takes it out to 37 points
Another nice F50 mark for the Suns, and this time it’s Ben Long on the edge of the square.
He converts, it’s 37 points, and it feels like the young Tigers are really starting to lose their legs early.

Armstrong gets one back for the Tigers
A big clunk from young Harry Armstrong for the Tigers and he kicks truly!
A lot of the pill will have to go through him if the Tigers are to get back into this one.

Read kicks another for the Suns
Meanwhile, Ethan Read has taken another good mark inside 50 and flushed his kick again to get the second half underway at the MCG.
Gold Coast leads by 37.
History for Tasmania!
It’s all done and dusted at North Hobart in the VFL, with Tasmania running out 14.12 (96) winners over Coburg 11.13 (79).
It’s emotional scenes for the team and for supporters alike.

Jed Hagan and Hugh Dixon both kicked four majors for the winners with Zach Adams (18) collecting the most disposals.
Interestingly, the top eight ball winners were all with Coburg.
Either way – incredible scenes in Hobart.

Tasmania looking likely winners in the VFL
A reminder that the VFL is underway for the season, and newly minted Tasmania team looks like it’s going to claim a maiden win at North Hobart.
They lead by 22 points late in the fourth quarter, and there’s a fair bit of passion around this game.

HT: Gold Coast 10.5 (65) lead Richmond 5.4 (34)

Ethan Read converts another set shot from a strong clunk and the Suns have run away with into halftime.
We can’t blame it all on Tom Lynch going off with that hamstring injury because Gold Coast did start to dominate out of the middle, but the Tigers did look lost when they did attack into their F50 without the veteran spearhead.
Jack Ross (17) and Touk Miller (16) have found the ball the most, while Ben King has four majors.
It’s been a fairly even spread of contributors for both teams though with nobody really tearing the game open as an individual.
It’ll be a tough halftime chat for the Tigers after that late fadeout.

Ben King has his fourth of the half!
King gets a little push from Noah Balta and the free kick is probably there, he took his eyes off it and gave him a nudge.
King converts and that’s five in a row for the Suns.

Ethan Read kicks another for the Suns
It’s a nice clunk in the forward pocket from the big fella and he hooks the set shot through perfectly.
That’s four on the trot and the Tigers are really feeling that Tom Lynch injury. They just don’t have any presence in their F50.

John Noble kicks a beauty!
It’s another cracking long range shot, this time from the ex-Pie.
Noble collects outside 50 on a tough angle and has about three clear offload options inside F50.
He ignores them all, steps around a Richmond defender, and flushes the drop punt!
Suns are in control right now.

Stunning long range goal for the Suns!
Right up until the point this went through the goals I didn’t think it was any hope!
Mac Andrew is the architect of the attack as the Suns streak through the guts of the MCG, eventually finding Joel Jeffrey on the run.
It looks like he’s going to be run down so he throws in on the boot from inside the centre square … and somehow it bounces through the goals!
Incredible goal.
