Muriel Furrer, a Swedish rider who crashed at the 2024 street world tournaments and was unresponsive for more than an hour, has been closed from prosecution.
Furrer, 18, crashed in the young women’s race in a bush area that was a slog of rain on a downward section of the road.
The public prosecutors ‘ office in Zurich said in a statement on Monday that she had been hidden for one hour and 22 minutes. Because she lay in the shrubbery, her drop was never noticed, and she was no spotted from the side of the road.
Furrer died the following morning from a head injuries.
According to the canton ( state ) prosecution office, it was” a racing accident without any indication of criminally relevant conduct” in relation to the race’s organization and her medical care.
In September of this year, the world champions in the sport of cycling did not have GPS trackers that could monitor their whereabouts.
