US Vice President JD Vance in India Live Updates: US Vice President JD Vance arrived in India today as part of his first official visit to the country, scheduled from April 21 to April 24, according to the White House Press Pool.
After his touchdown at the Air Force Station, Palam in New Delhi at around 9:30 am, he received a Guard of Honour. A formal meeting between Vice President Vance and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also scheduled for 6:30 pm today.
After his meeting with Prime Minister Modi in Delhi, the US Vice President will head to Jaipur on Tuesday, followed by a visit to Agra on April 23. His India visit will wrap up with his departure at 6:40 am on Thursday, April 24.
Vance’s visit to India carries strategic weight amid evolving global power dynamics and rising US-China trade frictions. During his meeting with PM Modi, both leaders are expected to discuss key topics such as trade restructuring, Indo-Pacific cooperation, global supply chain resilience, and the Russia-Ukraine war.
