Actor Janhvi Kapoor revealed a disturbing experience from her teenage years, sharing that she came across a morphed image of herself on a porn site when she was just 15. While she initially tried to rationalise it as part of being online, the incident has had a long-lasting impact, especially as AI-generated images of her continue to circulate even today.
Speaking with Raj Shamani, Janhvi recounted the moment she first encountered the image. “I don’t know if it was a deepfake, but it was something like that. I saw a picture of me on a porn site,” she said.

She recalled that it happened during school IT classes, explaining, “We had IT class in school and boys used to go on those sites for fun. My pictures were on there. And this was in school. So that was a weird experience.”
At the time, Janhvi said she tried to rationalise the situation. “At some point, I was like — this is the cost you have to pay. There is no morality in a lot of these things with social media,” she said. However, she added that her perspective has changed, and these AI-generated images continue to affect her today.
The actor admitted that she is “not at peace” with the situation. She explained that AI-generated visuals of her are circulating online, sometimes even shared by official news pages. These images depict her in outfits she has never worn or in poses she has never taken.
On the work front, Janhvi was last seen in Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, directed by Shashank Khaitan. The film also stars Varun Dhawan, Sanya Malhotra, and Rohit Saraf.
