a terrible battle
Given that Trump and Hegseth have no exit strategy, the Middle East conflict continues to be an absolute disaster. However, it may have some positive effects over the long term, causing some nations to become more independent and stop relying on ultra-free business to provide them with the imports they demand.
The need to keep significantly larger supplies of gas fuel and fertilizer for agricultural production, as well as of electronic equipment, which are primarily imported from overseas, is an urgent illustration of this for Australia.
Another good is that it could allow the government to exercise more influence over the direction of the economy and the redistribution of wealth more than relying on free-market capitalism, which has been so disastrous for the nation.
St. Andrews, Greg Bailey

Dirty fuel
While the state works to provide energy to Australia’s food-producing regions, including “dirtier petrol,” it is significant that a military aircraft can use as much gas in one hr as the average car driver uses in seven years.
As speculation grows over the Brent global benchmark oil price reaching$ 200 per barrel unless the Iran War ends, that fact serves as the focus.
South Yarra resident Barbara Chapman

investigations of battle
One of the Russian president’s most prominent protagonists in Europe argued that” Australia may play a direct part in efforts to force Vladimir Putin to experience a Nuremberg-style test to hold him accountable for starting the war in Ukraine.”
We may also impose on Trump and Netanyahu the exact standards for starting a war with Iran. Trump’s conflict is also illegal because it goes against the US Constitution, which allows only Congress to start war. It has not.
Marion Harper, Reservoir

Trump’s legs are what?
Donald Trump claims he “feels” the end of the conflict. I hope he’s not making fun of those ugly tooth heels!
Blairgowrie, Tim Douglas

Poor standing
The US military history since World War Two isn’t very good, in my opinion.
Korea – A commendable pick. Vietnam suffered a terrible defeat. Iraq: The jury is still out! Afghanistan: A terrible lost Iran: Rush and observe.
So much for Trump’s chest-beating!
Lilydale and Barry James

In a hoop
When a government party cahoots with its criticism and continues to belittle that opposition party in the eyes of the public while maintaining its unique long-term viability, that celebration undermines its own long-term validity.
A party’s ability to become or stay in power depends on both its own laws and conduct and its approach toward what constitutes a meritocratic opposition.
Blackburn South, Ruth Farr

Vietnam once more
My remembrance of the administration’s plan to send military officers to the Arab states as advisers recalls eerie things about the American declaration of war against Vietnam.
Some of them returned home with body bags before the ripple effect was lauded as justification for the US’s support. Are we revisiting the past?
Yarragon’s Alene Auchettl

Regime alter
May we, in addition to Iran, request regime change in Israel, the United States, and perhaps a few other nations?
Collingwood, Adam Thomson

Trick problem
Interesting to read Virginia Haussegger’s content,” Australian-made children everywhere” Let’s look into that thought, Matt Canavan,” 14/3 ) which makes reference to Matt Canavan’s nostalgia for that somewhat mythical Australia of the past.
That beautiful history, which we all traversed those decades ago? Her mention of the” Montana approach of healthy contraception” struck me as surprising. What do you contact people who use the Billings method of contraception today? was a joke from years ago. Kids, please!
Kew East, John Paine

Yes, Virginia
Virginia Hausseggar’s article ( 13/3 ) received a huge tick.
Virginia oversteps Matt Canavan’s immature and dark-ages plan to revitalize the Coalition’s chances of winning back and making Australia, also, “great again” with hard-hitting information.
There is no need to say more. You did it, Virginia.
Darraweit Guim, Joy Stapleton

social experience
Question: What happens when a legislator chooses themselves to serve as the country’s highest clinical power?
Answer: Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Murrumbeena, Ruth Freedman

Great news for homebuyers
Reserve cost reporting and a second creating inspection completed like a car roadworthy are the two new home purchase measures implemented by the Edwardian government. In my opinion, both are a win-win.
I recently purchased my first home, and I can already tell how much less pressure may have gone with it.
I spent about a year pondering these questions over and over again:” Am I wasting my money on a building inspection on a place that’s going to sell for way more than I expect?”;” What if I don’t get the inspection and it turns out I could have bought it”; and” Is this inspection going to be reliable”; and so on.
In the current ′′buyer chooses ′ ′ building inspector landscape, my experience was hours spent looking through numerous different companies with little way to tell if any were reliable. Those who appeared fantastic were thus booked out that I couldn’t be in time to accept my offer.
A government-mandated and controlled observation would have pleased me.
Ascot Vale Eleanor Denson

Games that are interesting
Regarding the Age editor,” Premier, wasting thousands is no game,” 14/ 3. Was it ever believed that a hard-left communist government intended to host a Commonwealth Games? Actually?
Winchelsea, Philip Dickson

Robo-debt persists
Two of the six under investigation had engaged in serious crooked behavior, according to the National Anti-Corruption Commission’s research into robo-debt. Because there was” no sufficient admissible evidence to establish either of those crimes beyond reasonable fear,” they were never referred to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Which is worse, a toothless, ineffective guardian or a lackluster one?
Both fail the restaurant test, both insult the injuries of the victims. In this situation, victims were subject to an enormous and totally unnecessary stress as a result of a false premise, and some cruelly committed suicide as a result.
How is it acceptable for people to be imprisoned for unpaid parking tickets or traffic violations, but we frequently see white collar crime, including corruption, escape punishment absolutely or get a wet-lettuce slap?
When will the consequences been proportionate to the harm done?
To make sure that all available accurate and pertinent evidence is considered admissible, law reform is necessary.
Joe Di Stefano, Geelong

Unusual outcome
I’ve been putting off doing the Samurai Sudoku for ages because I thought it should be done as a whole, not just each generator in turn.
My counsel? Ignore completely the entire situation because it is completely wrong.
Peter Rodgers, East Malvern
