Justis Huni will fight on Tyson Fury’s comeback card, marking his own return to the ring following the death of his head trainer.

The Australian heavyweight will face England’s 2020 Olympic bronze medallist Frazer Clarke at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on April 19.

It will be the 26-year-old’s first fight since the loss of trainer Keri Fui, who died after suffering a heart attack while in the gym with his fighter.

That prompted Huni (12-1) to postpone a scheduled rematch with Kiki Leutele in December, a fight that would have been his first since a maiden professional loss to current WBO heavyweight world champion Fabio Wardley last June.

Brisbane product Huni was comfortably leading that contest until a sensational one-punch, 10th round knockout turned the tables and shot Wardley on the path to his world title.

Clarke (9-2-1) was 8-0 before a draw with Wardley in their first meeting in 2024.

Wardley stopped him in the first round of their rematch months later.

He’s since beaten Ebeneza Tetteh but lost to Jeamie Tshikeva when the pair fought for the vacant British heavyweight championship in his most-recent fight last November.

Tshikeva will defend his national title against former British cruiserweight champion Richard Riakporhe on the stacked card.

The event will be broadcast on Netflix and will also feature Conor Benn against Regis Prograis, ensuring there are plenty of eyes on Huni’s ring return.

English star Benn and Australian cruiserweight world champion Jai Opetaia – a long-time stablemate of Huni’s who’s due to fight in Las Vegas against Brandon Glanton this Sunday (Monday AEST) – are the two high-profile signings for Dana White’s controversial Zuffa Boxing.

Wardley will defend his title against Daniel Dubois in May but has stated his desire to put his belt on the line with Fury, should the former champion prevail against Russian Arslanbek Makhmudov in the main event.

Fury will come out of retirement for a fifth time, following the most recent of his back-to-back defeats to former undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk early last year.

Meanwhile, former bantamweight world champion Jason Moloney (28-4) will headline at Tasman Fighters card at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall, against American Andre Donovan (12-2) on April 26.
