Former India assistant coach Abhishek Nayar was amongst the mentors and coaches named for the upcoming season of the T20 Mumbai League 2025. Along with Nayar, former India bowling coach Paras Mhambrey will also play the role of a mentor during the upcoming season.
Nayar had an eight-month stint with the Indian team as he joined as part of Gautam Gambhir’s backroom setup after the former Indian batter succeeded Rahul Dravid as the head coach last year. However, following India’s disastrous Border-Gavaskar Trophy tour of Australia, Nayar was amongst the backroom staff who were shown the door, along with fielding coach T. Dilip and strength and conditioning coach Soham Desai.
