“Firstly, I would like to send our condolences on behalf of the state of Israel to the families and to the victims. I was shocked by the photos…Fighting against terrorism is not an easy task. Terrorism probably will not be stopped. But we have to fight money laundering. We have to fight against their sources, their transportation of goods and shipments of ammunition,” the Israeli envoy said.

“That’s a cooperation between all the states because terrorists would like to bring fear to the life, the normal life of the citizen in India, in the Middle East, Europe…That is their system…We will not give any chance to terrorism to win. And we will come here…We believe in the Indian authority and the Indian government to do the utmost to fight against terrorism,” he added.

Terrorists opened fire at a popular tourist spot near Kashmir’s Pahalgam town on Tuesday afternoon, killing 26 people, mostly holidayers from other states, in what is the deadliest attack in the Valley since the Pulwama strike in 2019. The 26 dead included two foreigners – from UAE and Nepal – and two locals, officials said.

According to sources, around 8-10 terrorists are likely to be involved in the Pahalgam terrorist attack. Out of them, 5-7 terrorists are likely to be from Pakistan.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in New Delhi in morning today after cutting short his Saudi Arabia visit. Immediately on his arrival, PM Modi took a briefing meeting at the Delhi airport with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri to discuss the situation.
