Despite at least one group being forced to change vacation plans as a result of the conflict brought on by the discord between Israel, the US, and Iran, American Grand Prix director Travis Auld is convinced that all 22 Formula 1 drivers and their teams will be in Melbourne by Wednesday for the first race of the season.
Due to the disruption of travel plans even days before the season-opening race, top motorsport figures who spoke on the condition of anonymity acknowledged the stressful situation.
However, they claimed that F1’s governing body was well-versed in moving people and technology around the world and that it was one of the few sports with the knowledge and money to reschedule and travel important personnel on short see.
