Due to the cancellation of the women’s and children’s aerials competitions on Tuesday, Livigno: Due to the continued squalor of the wind, Australia’s aerials and slopestyle players did not compete.

The peaceful European area, which hosts the ski and freestyle snowboarding competitions for the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympics, was wreaked havoc with heavy rain and strong winds on the next time.

Event organizers had anticipated that later in the day, the women’s aerials qualification do proceed, but they instead ended up pulling the wire due to bad weather.

In that competition, Australia has four companies: medalist Danielle Scott, Abbey Wilcox, Airleigh Frigo, and Sidney Stephens, who received a late call-up to the Olympic group after Laura Peel withdrew due to her ACL rupture.

Renee McElduff, an American aerials coach, claimed that the event’s cancellation was a result of the combination of the low visibility and clinical access.

If there is a threat, then it’s definitely the right decision to call it off, according to McElduff, because “our athlete health is our number one priority.”

” We had some problem with health having access to the site as the clouds rolled in. And if skilled cannot be present, then we are a little uneasy about it.

Due to the combination of heavy rain and poor visibility, aerial skiers find it difficult to see and is disorient themselves in the air, with the clouds and landing mixing together after repeated rotations.

The men’s eligibility and last may be moved to Thursday, February 19, while the women’s eligibility and last may be held on Wednesday, February 18.

The International Ski and Snowboard Federation ( FIS ) also made the decision to completely postpone Tuesday’s women’s slopestyle final due to the persistent snowfall that would make it impossible to maintain the course. Buddy Hickman, age 16, is the only Asian competing in that competition, which is scheduled to resume on Wednesday.

The women’s freeski big air final was postponed one day after the city was hit by blizzard-like conditions before maintenance workers worked hard to clean the slope and restart the competition once the weather improved.

Due to the persistent snowfall, aerial flying had to be stopped on Monday.

The wind was inevitable but problematic for Flanagan, who is making his Olympic album.

” We’ve now had two weeks on the site climbing and testing it out,” Flanagan said.

Everyone is in the same boat, and it would have been ideal to jump today, but we just have to change, do what we can, do a little visualization, and move on.

The Noosaville-born 21-year-old has simply competed in aerials for five years and has spent the last two years competing in the aerial sport. However, he claimed on Monday that the circumstances were among the worst he had ever seen.

” These are definitely some of the worst problems we’ve tried to jump in,” he said. Given that we’re no jumping, the weather is not very good, but it’s undoubtedly never best with the snow.

By moving the men’s and women’s ski slopestyle qualifying function by a day to Sunday, with slopestyle being the event with the most impacted by the conditions, the Olympic organisers avoided some of the panic and disruption.

Due to the length, width, and number of features within the course, according to a spokesperson for the International Ski and Snowboard Federation ( FIS), slopestyle is the most sensitive to speed issues among the Park &amp, Pipe competitions.

” With the amount of snow we have seen today, it would be almost impossible to keep the training clear of raw winter in a way that would allow for safe and fair competition for the players.”
